So, I'm back home now. I can't believe how much I anticipated the New York convention, and it's over in an instant. We had a blast! First of all, the weather was really nice. When my plane landed, it was nearly 80 degrees! That had me in a good mood instantly. When I got to the con, I had to stop by the Top Cow booth and see the boys. That was really cool. I've known those guys for over a year now, and before work, some of them are really good friends. I then had to stop by and say whats up to my fam.
Keron had just gotten there, and Sanford was set up somewhere near-by. It was good to see those guys, and Keron had his new Wonder Woman print [link] on hand. That's a seriously nice print. I also bought a copy of Sanford's sketchbook, some of his hottest stuff to date is in that bad boy.
Also, for the last couple of weeks, I've been anticipating seeing Dustin Nguyen, and Sean Murphy again. I met them both at the L.A. con last year, and these are two of the coolest guys around. Plus, Sean's got the cheapest, most illeset original art at the con. I bought 2 pages from his Star Trek one shot for $20 each! That was cool.
Later that night, Mel Caylo, our vice president of Marketing, and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, invited us to have dinner at a Chinese restaurant that his childhood friend owns. That was nice, and the food was good. I used that as an opportunity to catch up with Michael Broussard, the penciler on The Darkness. I also met him at the L.A. con last year, but we didn't get to hang out. We spent the rest of the con, just walking around, and chatting it up. We also spent a ton of time walking around NY, trying to find good deals on shoes, as we both share that addiction.
The next day was cool. I walked around a lot and talked to some writers who I'd love to work with. I also got the chance to hang out at our Panel, and help out. I didn't know all the stuff that we have on our plate, and I was shocked. Later that evening, we had dinner at Juniors. I had the best steakburger on earth! Right after that, we hit the Marvel party, strictly for Marvel personnel only, but CB (Cebulski) was manning the door, so that was cool. It was packed in that bad boy though, so I squeezed into a booth with Dexter Vines, which was cool, cause he's a good friend who I don't get to talk to that much. After about an hour of being jostled around, and spilling drinks over ourselves, we decided to get outta there. We went back to Keron's room, and tried to draw a little. After 15 mins, we decided we were too tired, and went back to the hotel.
The next day was nice and quiet, and about 20 degrees cooler. I got to the con early, and sat down with Filip, our publisher, and the writer. We went over our story, and all the other stuff, to get this thing of the ground. I'm gonna tell you right now, there is not another book out there like this one. I can't wait to give you guys more details.
So, it was time to leave. Broussard bought us dinner, and I was off to the airport. When I got there, I found out that my plane was experiencing technical difficulties, and my flight was canceled. United put me up in a hotel, and I crashed. My immune system took a beating over the weekend. I had a grand total of 12 hours of sleep in 3 days. But other than that, I'd say it was a success. I took some photos with my 2 mega pixel camera phone, and I'll upload them a little later. I'll keep you guys updated as everything comes along with my book.

And if I was supposed to meet you any of you there, I'm super sorry. Everyone had a hard time finding me (sorry Jeff) because I was never in one place for too long. I'll post a picture of myself, so that you can find me better next time;}
