Hello all,

It's been a looooooong time, and I'm sorry. I've been as busy as a one armed paper hanger, but that's an excuse. I've been around, but just browsing. I have some cool animatics from Avengers Season 1 that I'll post when I get a chance. I have them, but they have the timecodes on them, and they drive me crazy! So I gotta export my own animatics, but I only have one arm! And I'm a paper hanger! Anyway, we have made a lot of headway lately on the class. Last week, Oats announced the class on Facebook, and on the website. We're hoping that the first session will get underway in January or early February, and then go from there. The first couple of classes will be small, about 25-30 students, and then expand out from there. Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted on things as they pop up!

I'm so excited, this class is going to ROCK! I'm also doing some really cool things at work. I'll announce when the House of "M" announces:]

Here's the link to the announcement. Please stay tuned! It's all coming together!
  • Listening to: Executive Orders by Tom Clancy
  • Reading: Ink Spots by Brian McDonald
  • Watching: The Avengers
  • Playing: photoshop
  • Eating: Southwestern chicken soup
  • Drinking: water

Hi, Justin. I've really enjoyed Paper Wings, and I just wanted to let you know that I think your work is amazing. Thanks for not only being amazing, but being willing to share what you've learned with everyone.
Is film on paper going to available for next year?
I wanna join now but I'm afraid I won't be able to pay for it :(

We plan on having it going for a while, but next year is a loooong time from now:] I'm sorry about your financial troubles, I know how it feels all too well. But if you can try and come up with the tuition, i promise that the course will be well worth it. We know that a free class would be awesome, and help tons upon tons of struggling artists out there, but honestly, when I have someones hard earned money in my bank account, it's a level of accountability that helps me to do my job better. I want you to leave as a changed artist!

Hopefully I can see you around the digital campus one day soon;]
Thanks man!! Don't worry I completely understand and honestly a 3 month course worth only $600  and change is a steal -in good way of course ;)-! It's so well worth it, Christ Oatley has never let us down before and I know having you on board is  making it even more worth it. I can't afford it right now and I was hoping to be able to get in the first audition deadline but I'm honestly not sure at this point and I'd rather have someone who can -with out a doubt- afford it be in the course than me who isn't sure right now.

I will definitely take your advice about story boarding so I can further improve my art, story telling skills, and comics. Thanks again for the reply! And yes, hopefully we'll be seeing each other in the digital campus :D
