SM vs The Big Screen

So here's some sample boards from Ultimate Spider Man Ep 06. Here, SM is hit in mid-air by Batroc the Leaper and sent flying into
the jumbo tron. I ususally don't use color in my boards, but something interesting happened on this show. One of board guys left the show, and I was forced to do tons of freelance. I was having a hard time, and I wanted to some boards that really reflected my story style, which is more filmic storytelling than your normal Saturday morning cartoon. My director was super awesome and pretty much let me go at it. As a result, I was promoted shortly after this episode and have been a board artist ever since. It was hard, and I tell folks that that first season felt like Vietnam (sorry my vets, I know nothing in the world is that serious, but it was all I could think of!), but in the end, the reward was awesome! I hope you guys are enjoying the show so far. As more of my episodes come out, I'll be posting more art! (I can't wait wait wait til' episode 15 comes out!)
